„Ritualuri”: a grand performance
FITS closes on 30 June at 21:00 at Muzeul ASTRA with the special performance „Ritualuri”, presented by Corul Madrigal, conducted by Anna Ungureanu.
Directed by Emil Pantelimon, with set design by Vladimir Turturica, the performance is devoted to universal rituals – for peace, worldly rituals, religious rituals and rituals for nature – and will take place on the shore of Lake Dumbrava.
After the performance, 12 ritual scenes will come to life throughout Muzeul ASTRA until 01:00 in the morning. The area around the lake will become a world of performance, where audiences will interact with actors, Cantus Mundi children’s choirs, Baletul Operei Comice pentru Copii, the women from the Ozun traditional craft gathering, Corul lipovenilor de la Brăila, Young Beats percussionists and Zoli Toth. They will participate in ritual recitals of lamentation, joy, rites of passage and curses, all brought to life by a video-mapping show projected into the museum’s forest.
The Cantus Mundi children’s choirs appearing at Muzeul ASTRA are: „Waldorf” Iași, conductor Daniel Popa; „Unirea” Focșani, conductor Ana-Maria Rusu; Corul Liceului Greco-Catolic „Iuliu Maniu” Oradea, conductor Nicoleta Țâmpu; and „Junior Vip & Vox Infantes” Cluj-Napoca, conductor Anca Mariaș,

The special performance „Ritualuri” will also be presented in preview on Saturday, 29 June, at 22:00.

Attendance requires the purchase of admission tickets to Muzeul ASTRA.

Corul Madrigal’s Sibiu events take place in partnership with Festivalul Internațional de Teatru de la Sibiu, Muzeul Național Brukenthal, Muzeul ASTRA and Teatrul Național „Radu Stanca” Sibiu.
