Galeria Madrigal presents works by children and adolescents for the first time in the special exhibition „Culorile minții”. The collection highlights the power of art as a form of emotional expression and therapeutic support, facilitated by the paediatric psychiatry clinic at Spitalul Clinic de Psihiatrie „Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia”. The opening includes a performance by children from Cantus Mundi choirs.

The event forms part of the „Madrigal pentru spitale” programme, organised in partnership with Administrația Spitalelor și Serviciilor Medicale București, which brings music and art into clinical settings to provide emotional support for patients, their families and carers, and medical staff.

The opening will take place on Thursday, 7 May 2026, from 18:00 at Casa Madrigal at Aleea Dealul Mitropoliei nr. 11, București.

The exhibition can be visited from 7 – 10 May 2026, at the following times: Friday, 8 May: 16:00 – 19:00 | Saturday, 9 May: 15:00 – 19:00 | Sunday, 10 May: 10:00 – 16:00.

Admission is free.

The „Culorile minții” collection offers a direct insight into the children’s inner world. The paintings, graphic works and drawings   are accompanied by short personal accounts from the children, giving the public an authentic perspective on their experiences and the therapeutic process, in which art acts as a universal language of emotion.

„Art is one of the most liberating forms of therapy. Through our partnership with ASSMB, we want to support what we hope will be the artistic debut of children receiving therapy.” – Silvana Dulamă, curator of Galeria Madrigal

The „Culorile minții” exhibition draws attention to the genuine need to develop expressive therapies in paediatric psychiatry in Romania and affirms the importance of integrating art into the process of emotional recovery.

Housed in Casa Madrigal, the heritage villa on Dealul Mitropoliei in Bucharest, Galeria Madrigal is a cross-disciplinary space dedicated equally to music and the visual arts, and a creative residency programme organised by the „Madrigal – Marin Constantin” National Chamber Choir and Centrul de Cultură Arcuș.
