Following the tremendous success of the opening performances of the Madrigal National Christmas Tour 2025 in Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș and Sibiu, and with all Bucharest performances sold out, Corul Național de Cameră „Madrigal – Marin Constantin” announces an additional „Madrigal: Christmas Mood” concert in Bucharest. The new concert will take place on 17 December at 19:00 in the Aula Magna of Universitatea Politehnica București.
Tickets will be available on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, from 12:00, on Bilete.ro.
Conducted by Anna Ungureanu, the concert offers a celebration of Christmas music, with a concept by Emil Pantelimon. The programme includes well-known international carols, sacred works from Madrigal’s repertoire and modern reinterpretations with touches of jazz, in a festive atmosphere enhanced by Abel Corban on piano, Joo Sandor Sebestyen on bass guitar and Iulian Nicolau on percussion.
As every year, children from Cantus Mundi choirs will join the Madrigal Choir, and the audience will be invited to sing with them in a shared celebration of Christmas joy. The performance will be completed by striking set design and LIVE graphics synchronised with Madrigal’s music, created by set designer Vladimir Turturica.
Since its founding, the Madrigal Choir has brought the joy of the festive season to major stages across the country each December, bringing Romanians together around music and the emotion of Christmas and turning each gathering into a celebration of community.
The Madrigal Choir’s Christmas tour forms part of the „Marin Constantin 100” anniversary programme, through which the ensemble celebrates 100 years since its founder’s birth.
