COMPETITION RULES

COMPETITION ORGANISER AND RULES

The organiser of the „Madrigal 61” competition (hereinafter the „Competition”) is the „Madrigal – Marin Constantin” National Chamber Choir, with its registered office at Str. Ion Câmpineanu, No. 28, Sector 1, București, Romania, hereinafter the „Organiser”.

The Competition is conducted under these Rules and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions in force in Romania; these Rules are binding on all Competition participants. The Rules and details
of the Competition are available free of charge to anyone requesting them on the official page www.madrigal.ro and are distributed on the Organiser’s official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/, throughout the Competition.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules during the Competition and is required to notify the public officially in the same manner as the initial announcement, on the official page www.madrigal.ro and on the Organiser’s official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/.

Competition participants are advised that this Competition is not organised, supervised, sponsored, administered, associated with or promoted by Facebook, and that the brands promoted or products awarded as prizes in the Competition are not financed (in whole or in part) by Facebook.

WHERE THE COMPETITION TAKES PLACE
The Competition is organised exclusively online, on the page, https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/, in accordance with these Rules.

COMPETITION PERIOD
The Competition starts on 23.02.2024 and runs until 26.02.2024 at 10:00 (hereinafter the „Competition Period”). The time when the Competition-related post is published on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/ is considered the Competition’s starting time.

ELIGIBILITY
The Competition is open to any individual who is a Romanian citizen domiciled or resident in Romania, or a foreign citizen resident in Romania, who has reached the age of 18 when the Competition begins and accepts the terms and conditions of these Rules. Individuals under the age of 18 may participate in the Competition provided they are represented/assisted by their legal representative, in accordance with the law, who, having read these Rules, declares full agreement and wishes to participate in the Competition (hereinafter the „Participants”).

Participation in this Competition constitutes full acceptance of these Rules, freely given and without any coercion. The right to participate belongs exclusively to the participant who meets the conditions imposed by the Rules.

Participation in the Competition constitutes all Participants’ express consent to, knowledge of and acceptance of these Rules without objection.

To participate in the Competition, Participants must have a Facebook account with a valid email address and their real surname / first name. Those who do not have a user account can create a new one at: https://facebook.com/.

Each participant is presumed to be legally entitled to all personal information they submit in the Competition. The Organiser is not required to verify or certify the participant’s entitlement to the personal information with which they enter the Competition and cannot be held liable for any lack of entitlement or any unauthorised use of that information by the participant.

The right to participate in the Competition is automatically cancelled if a person provides false, erroneous or inappropriate data or information when submitting the personal data required to validate participation and/or winning the Competition.

PRIZES AWARDED
The Competition awards 5 (five) prizes, namely 5 (five) invitations for two to the „Madrigal 61” special concert taking place on 27.02.2024 at 19:00 at the Palace of Parliament, the Romanian Senate, the „Madrigal – Marin Constantin” Galleries. Admission to the event is  on 27.02.2024 by 18:45 through entrance A1 of the Palace of Parliament.
An invitation for two contains 2 (two) admission tickets to 1 (one) event – the „Madrigal 61” special concert. NO cash equivalent of the prizes will be awarded.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
The Competition will run through an engagement activity on the Madrigal Oficial Facebook page. The Competition has 5 (five) prizes (an invitation for two / prize) offered to the winner.

To participate in the Competition and win the prizes offered by the Organiser during the competition, Participants who meet the eligibility conditions set out in the ELIGIBILITY section of these Rules must follow exactly the steps below to enter during the period 23 – 25 February 2024:
1. visit the Madrigal Oficial Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/; 2. become a FAN of the above page (by giving the page a Like); 3. comment on and correctly answer the question in the post published by the Organiser on the Madrigal Oficial Facebook page concerning the „Madrigal 61” Competition, by 25.02.2024 at 20:00.

Winners will be selected by a draw among all participants who correctly answer the question. A person may comment on only one competition post.

Each Participant must comply with the following mandatory requirements to participate in the „Madrigal 61” Competition organised on the Madrigal Oficial Facebook page, concerning any materials/texts added in social media comments:

Materials/texts ARE PROHIBITED if they contain pornography, offensive content or insults; describe any form of violence or depict scenes in which someone is hurt, sexual violence or cruelty; depict or suggest sexual acts; depict weapons of any kind; constitute a breach of the law or show any way of breaching it; depict drug use or the use of other illegal substances; depict excessive alcohol consumption; promote racism, sexism, homophobia or ethnic or social discrimination; are abusive, indecent, defamatory or obscene; may harm a person and/or infringe a person’s, business’s or enterprise’s image rights; are protected by copyright; contain third-party advertising or promotional materials; or involve other conduct contrary to the law; the Participant must not upload commercial or advertising materials/texts or submit commercial comments that directly or indirectly promote particular products or services, promotions, campaigns, etc. A Participant is also prohibited from asking other Participants to become members/users/visitors of any website, discussion group, organisation, etc.
The Organiser reserves the right to reject materials/texts added in comments that fall within the prohibited situations listed above and to delete them permanently.

The Organiser also reserves the right NOT to validate Competition entries by users who do not comply with the Rules. A participant may be disqualified (through the option of deleting information published by the user) at any time if the Organiser identifies any behaviour considered inappropriate for the Competition and these Rules. If any inconsistencies relating to the above are discovered, the Organiser will not consider that participation valid.

SELECTION AND VALIDATION OF THE WINNER
At the end of the Competition, winners will be selected by a draw.
The Organiser reserves the right to announce the competition winner on the page https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/  and/or on the website www.madrigal.ro.

After the winners are announced, they must provide the Organiser with all information needed to complete the validation process – surname / first name, email address, telephone number – in a private message to the Madrigal Oficial Facebook account.

NOTIFICATION AND AWARD OF THE PRIZE
Competition winners will be informed of the result on 26 February 2024 at 10:00 on the page https://www.facebook.com/MadrigalOficial/.

If a prize is not claimed by 26 February 2024 at 12:00, it will automatically be allocated, without notification, to another participant (a reserve). This participant will also be selected by a draw.
The Organiser is not responsible for delays in announcing the winners for reasons not attributable to it.
The winner must provide the Organiser with all information needed to complete the prize award process – surname / first name, delivery address, telephone number and a photocopy of their identity document.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Participation in the Competition implies the Participants’ unconditional and irrevocable acceptance that their names may be made public by the Organiser EXCLUSIVELY for the purposes of conducting this Competition. It also implies acceptance of the Organiser’s use of the personal data provided in the Competition for Competition-related communications, without further obligations.

The Organiser of this Competition undertakes to comply with the legislation in force on personal data protection throughout the Competition.

All participants are guaranteed their rights under Law No. 190/2018 on measures implementing General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. The Organiser will use the personal data provided by Participants when entering the competition EXCLUSIVELY to announce and identify the winner.

The personal data of participants in this competition are protected under the legislation in force and will not be used for commercial purposes. They will be processed to keep a record of the people participating in this competition. By participating in the competition, participants agree to their data being processed for the stated purposes.

END OF THE COMPETITION
The Competition will end automatically on 26 February 2024 at 10:00 and may end early only if an event of force majeure occurs that makes it impossible to conduct the Competition.

DISPUTES
Any disputes arising between the Organiser and Competition participants will be resolved amicably. If amicable resolution is not possible, the parties involved will refer the dispute to the competent Romanian courts.
